Judgements of other people"s personalities and our own. Provides a very useful taxonomy for understanding other people"s and your own personality traits. Took personality in his freshman year in winter term 18 years old. No background in personality psychology and thought he wanted to be a social worker. When he was 18 he needed a personality. Problem for him: he was introverted, awkward, neurotic, and not too happy with how he was or who he was so he was hoping that a personality class would give him something to work with. Am i stuck with the one i have right now. Growing up in nyc in queens in babyboom era, good at sports and school and had friends, teachers liked him etc. Until age 13- coincides with puberty, he was pretty happy and felt good about who he was but until 18- he was lost.
