Consider various self-related variables and figure out in mcadams model of personality where we would locate some of these variables. Here he presents a graph that indicates age, when each layer of personality comes online. First: acting in the world- dispositional traits and temperament. Early glimpses- see at 6 or 8 months like we see with shyness but it continues to be important through our whole life. Ourselves as agents- as individuals who have goals, desires and plans and who are looking toward the future. Most of personality variables have to go with goals and values.
