Traits: dimensions of individual differences in tendencies to show consistent patterns of thoughts, feelings and actions. There"s a range and we are looking for consistency > over time and across situations: extraversion: tendency to be outgoing, sociable, and assertive. Two main components: one is being a people person, second is being assertive, having confidence, energy: neuroticism: tendency to experience negative emotions. Anxious, worried, ruminate about things, likely to think and anticipate good things.
