Anti-depressants= no way to keep track of depression. Fill in the blanks- todays and mondays- just short answers. You must figure out why that person has anemia. Look at a medical dictionary-3-4 pages of diff. causes of anemia, each requiring differential treatments. Problem in psychiatry-psychiatry remains the only medical domain w/symptom based diagnoses, where the symptoms are the diagnosis. Say a person is schizophrenic but that"s it, we do not ask how they got to be there. You do not have any info. of if there are diff. etiologies for what that schizophrenia is. That is diametrically opposed- it is the opposite of simple disease model. Willingly accepts the idea that diseases are on a continuum. Diseases are continuous w/normal behaviour- the extreme of it is extreme disability that demands treatment but it is all on a normal distribution. That differs greatly from the discontinuous nature of the simple disease model:
