End of egyptian religion, start of canaanite religion. 2-3 books on reserve at mclennan, more online on databases (jstor, atla) Gives an account of research that has gone into the topics. Give concise summary- read article/chapter, find thesis, summarize arguments to back up thesis, some assessment of its value (i. e. this piece gives a lot of historical background, but isn"t helpful on x) Do not use websites, i. e. places where you don"t have an author. # of sources: at least 5, and a bit more (not too many) especially considering he already gives us some sources- if you use the sources he gives us, you have to have more than 5. Graded on whether piece is well-written, whether you clearly state argument of author (clarity) Hatshepsut: claim that she is daughter of great god amon, karnak= huge religious complex that several pharaohs participated in building, hatshepsut"s obelisk: made but still in the ground.
