Although focus on the political side more than sociologists. Political sociologists who look at interrelationships focus on three aspects of formal politics. Government: the group of individuals who make collective decisions for a polity. Make decisions for all the members of society. Regime: rules governing who rules and how they rule. A regime is the political structure of the government.
