Divorce rates have really fluctuated considerably: one has been there was a focus on the adversarial nature of the divorce, how to render divorce less adversarial. Focus on the implications of women, and the implications of divorce on children: 1980s we saw a rise of divorce in the us. Liberalization of family law had transpired this is why people saw divorces as increasing. In part, divorce had been increasing for decades.
