A lot of us are witnessing these conflicts throughout the world. One of them is the case of ukraine. There are many other cases, if you look at the modern history, the numbers are really big especially in the modern ages. It is important to understand how histrionically this conflict has been resolved. Solutions not taking a normative stand point. Secessionism the action of withdrawing formally from membership of a federation or body, especially a political state. The graph shows the ethnic wars for two different reasons. One of them (territory) meaning that ethnic group is challenging the government to gain its independence, to succeed from the state. Another one is conflict over government, the ethnic group is challenging the share of power in the central state.
