Nothing to do w/ owning or not owning property- How you are positioned in a market determines how privileged you are in life- how well you will do in life- Recognizes in capitalist economy the labour market and capital markey is the most important thing- but there are others- ex: housing market- you can be a renter or owner- You can have multiple positioned- not just one. Classes are not groups or communities- they represent possible, and frequent bases for social action- but doesn"t mean they it will necessarily happen. Can perceive classes only when they are in action- relational account.
