Did you know : anthropologists are in demand as: Intel: at&t, kodak, university health network, motorola, walt disney, microsoft, hallmark, sun life assurance company of canada, the royal ontario museum, archives of ontario, parks canada, canadian cancer society, google, the world bank. But why are they hiring anthropologists: communicating in a globalized world understanding cultural diversity, avoiding preconceptions (e. g. , ethnocentrism) and recognizing varied perspectives, seeing the big picture (global/holistic perspective, gathering, integrating, synthesizing and analyzing data. Communicating in a verbalized world: written & verbal communication, anthropologists make complex research findings comprehensible to a wide audience, multicultural communication, cross-cultural perspectives. What kinds of jobs might anthropologists get in the field of health: alleviate cross cultural boundaries in health care settings, conduct workshops.
