In the lives of someone who has a strong religious faith, religion and state should(cid:374)"t (cid:271)e separated a(cid:272)(cid:272)ordi(cid:374)g to a religious (cid:374)atio(cid:374)alist. 1) show that political difficulties have a religious cause, and 2) that religious goals have political solution: religious nationalism tends to occur in times of crisis, blaming others and the effects of capitalism. Canadian culture/laws/justice system is predicated upon judeo-christian notions of morality: problem with secularism religion and religiosity = primitive, uncivilized, not modern, undemocratic, and adherents labeled as others. Some religious nationalisms: are revitalization movements per(cid:272)ei(cid:448)ed (cid:272)risis of e(cid:454)isti(cid:374)g (cid:862)order(cid:863), e(cid:373)erge(cid:374)(cid:272)e of (cid:272)haris(cid:373)ati(cid:272) leader, desire for territorializatio(cid:374), re(cid:448)italizatio(cid:374) of (cid:862)a(cid:374)(cid:272)ie(cid:374)t (cid:449)a(cid:455)s(cid:863, but often, a new religion is formed. Is isis a revitalization movement: yes, it"s (cid:374)ot goi(cid:374)g to (cid:373)ake it to the stage of full (cid:271)lo(cid:449)(cid:374) religio(cid:374, expand in middle east.
