Part 1: in bosnia, the village is mixed, 2/3 muslim and 1/3 catholic, women are more burdened than men, men go to war, women stay at home to care for animals, children, land etc , people get together with one another in the evening to watch the news, everyone is very religious the women go and pray for the dead a lot. It made no difference who you were: shelling is moving closer to civilian (muslim) homes, some kids are sent to other villages or with other family members to be safe/safer, the hopes for peace are slipping further away, the village became too dangerous so the whole family went to live with other family in a different village.
