Two locations that did not exist until after the relocation griese fjord : 1953 high arctic relocation. Policemen said the reason for relocation was to see if there were animals up in the high arctic (fox pelts: said they could come back after a few years if they wanted. Dragged people and forced them onto the ship: not allowed to bring all their possession (cid:523)ex, father(cid:495)s boat(cid:524, said they would be able to come back. Caribou skins weren(cid:495)t available because it was past season: needed them to survive, no boat like they promised. Forced to separate into 3 locations after being told they would be together. Told there would be a house for them but there was only ice when they arrived: moved from summer to ice and gravel (snow and ice never melted, gets dark earlier and for longer. Government put them in a dangerous place. Police promised to check in on them everyday.
