This course is an artificial separation between looking and knowing. This is a stepping stone to be taken and applied. We have always relied on artists to make us look and think about looking at things. Already she had postcards being made on the painting. The objectification of art as humans is a theme. There is a higher contrast in the postcard. If this was seen without the original, it would convey a different message. Andy warhol is calling attention to how easy it is to replicate it, almost devaluing the painting.
