To liminal works; to the breakdown of the art. To create something new; exists on their own terms. Looking for harmony; engaging in the principles of unity. Piet mondrian; function of abstract art; engages with the abstract idea; convey"s/ points to abstract ideas; giving something a tangible form. Alot of abstract images have been seen this way; crushing propostion. Nothing else to abstract art; something inconceivable about the proposition. Social history abstraction ; not trying to depict anything. Tendency to look for representation ; bit of a rorschach test (not everyone sees the same thing) It is a slightly diff category; consists of gestures. An unstretched piece of canvas; dipping a brush in paint; industrial paint. When you put it down, it has to do with your body not your eyes. It refers to the unmediated conciousness that his body expresses onto the painting; without being mediated with language and etc. Different effect than geometrically shaped abstract work.
