In this play is the only time sophocles uses this term to refer to a woman (antigone) Speech and thinking related to law; a different kind of taming, that makes the city habitable and banish sources of disorder so that the city can flourish and function well. Closely connected to the story of the tower of babel; another alternate sort of mastery of nature. There is no device that can liberate humans from death. Creon being accused of causing this sickness in the city, while he thinks he"s doing perfectly well. Creon: "it is impossible to know any human being, and by that i mean his soul (psyche), his intelligence (or knowledge), and judgement (phronesis), until they show their skill in rule and law. I think a man who is supreme ruler of a city, if he does not reach for the best counsel for her, rather keep his tongue under lock and key, him i judge the worst. "
