Document Summary

Chloroplasts manufacture sugar: photosynthesis is a process used in plant cells and other organisms to convert light energy into chemical energy. Mitochondria makes us useable energy: cellular respiration: a process used by plant and animal cells to release the chemical energy stores in the bonds of carbohydrates. Visual synthesis: metabolism (chapter 6-8: the goal of cellular respiration is to get electrons into the inter membrane space. Plants and animals store their polysaccharides (sugars) for energy. Glucose processing produces atp: glycolysis, pyruvate processing, citric acid cycle. Sugar passes through blood stream: metabolised and now is glucose, eventually heads down to the electron transport chain. Proteins and fats can also be processed as fuel. Amino acids from proteins can be converted into pyruvate.
