Intra sexual selection: male-male fighting (indiscriminate) for reproductive access. Inter-sexual selection: female choice (the peacocks feathers are driven by this) Females have to be choosy because they only have so many eggs (limiting) Sexual selection usually acts more strongly on males. More male-male competition and ornamentation (female choice) Sexual dimorphisms is low in species with monogamy- one male for a female: males can be pregnant (ie pike fish)- the males investment is greater then the female investment. Choice experiment was done on male pike fish.
