Not all heroes are good, really just the men (always men) who have lived in a bygone age (mythological age) but no heroes still lived in the original time when these stories were told. Heroes are very complex - they want to live according to the heroic code, but it doesn"t mean they"re good people or make good choices. Any sort of stories with timelines and flashbacks has its origins in the odyssey. She keeps the suitors at bay and makes the decision. Which is weaving the shroud per day and then she unweaves it at night. She"s very devious although her outward appearance is of a woman who very much cares. The suitors have not caught on - they aren"t worth it. Telemachus & his journey: pylos and sparta. Telemachus is treated the a little boy by the suitors. This is why athena tells him to go abroad and it"ll give his experience and show him.
