Asked not to look at the letter: letter delivered to iobates & reveals that proetus has asked iobates to kill the deliverer bellerophon. Iobates asks bellerophon to perform several life-threatening tasks including killing the chimaera, battling amazons, etc & eventually marrying iobates" daughter. Perseus son of zeus and danae quest to find the 3 old women. Perseus goes on to find the gorgon (medusa) out of medusa"s head emerges pegasus.
