Communicaion is coninuous, irreversible, transacional, diferent perspecives, senders and receivers, physical and psychological distorion and noise. Communicaion is the process of human beings responding to the symbolic behaviour of other persons. Small-group: occurs in a group whose size allows each member to paricipate acively with the other members. Public: takes place when a group becomes too large for all members to contribute. Mass: involves messages transmited to larger, widespread audiences. Good communicaion allows us to live longer, happier and healthier. We decide who we are based on how others react to us. It saisies a range of our social needs: pleasure, afecion, inclusion, escape, relaxaion, and control. It"s an important key to efeciveness in a variety of everyday seings. Transacional model: fluid not staic, simultaneous sending and receiving, relaional not individual. No ideal way to communicate (take cultural diferences into account) Situaional (competent in other areas and less in others) Relaional: create trust between the senders and receivers.
