Communicaions technology has the ability to shrink space (the telegraph, telephone, radio, television, and internet) The more technologies we have that allow us to communicate with greater abiliies and detail, were transcending space and ime. We can produce more and various types of communicaion. We are taking a criical approach to communicaion. We should be looking analyically at the ways media and implicated in our knowledge and understanding the world. Think analyically about what we"re studying, how media makes sense to us and our understanding of the world around us. Who or what interests do media serve and what role do they play in creaing and maintaining relaionships, paricularly in relaions of wealth and power.
