There can be a lot of editing involved. Make it look like what we want it to be. Not necessarily the same, how it may shift over time. Appealing to different audiences, style is changing: power and violence of collectivity. Linking individuals of narrative of nation or identity. Not easy to say i"m not a fan as a canadian. People may watch or attend events for the purpose of being included. The idea of patriotism comes into play and is a powerful narrative. Think about how this impacts us in both scenarios: captive nation. Artists or musicians representing a national or cultural identity.
