More concisely: communication is human, communication is a process, communication is symbolic. Types of communication: intrapersonal communication, involves communicating with oneself, dyadic/ interpersonal communication, includes two people interacting, small group communication, occurs in a group whose size allows each member to participate actively with the other members, public communication.
