One of the ways we can prove that race is not in people"s biology is by the fact that. These categories aren"t just externally imposed but internally imposed. Until the early/mid 19th c. america had not been pressured to define who was asian. If some people do not fit into these colour terms, then what are they? the definition of peoples has changed overtime. Has to do with different groups who have been discriminated against. Equal quotas to these designated groups-> creates an action or policy regarding reshaping the opportunities for these previously exploited groups. Has caused these reactions: reversed discrimination or revered racism. Ex) black culture involves ghettos, drugs, crime, etc. > so they are not helped because it is seen as inherent in their culture. From (cid:498)chinese(cid:499) to (cid:498)aliens ineligible for citizenship(cid:499) (cid:523)(cid:883)9(cid:884)(cid:886)(cid:524) to (cid:498)asian and pacific.
