Time= things that unfold in a narrative, plot, sequence. The stationary axis shows us where they authority comes from. This axis can be in relation to time (parents in relation to children and so on, and how things unfold in time) The downward narratives, the upward narratives, the ambiguous narratives. Start happy end bad/ start bad end happy= transition narratives, it doesn"t begin the way it ended. Stagnant story-> starts bad ends bad, starts well ends well. The purposeful degradation of narrative unfolding in a forward motion. Romance-> human mind, capacity to relate itself to the axis mundi of anxiety and desire. Romance is our mythos and all the genre types are mythoi. Comedy the bad guy is usually stuck in the past and there is a trial between those two, the good guy wins and the wedding or birth at the end is a metaphor for rebirth. Hopeful expressions of the power of human creativity and imagination.
