A place where everyone"s perceptions meet and are the same (question posed: are our perceptions all the same?) Why do people often say writers are not in touch with the real world - romanticism in storytelling versus worlds that are worse than the world that we inhabit. Story itself has no predisposition to the actual world we inhabit . Imaginative or fictitious works provide us of visions of what the world is like - can be extremely varied. In the real world, experiences happen to you and you must go along with them. The real world is entirely created in the same way that stories are (we all agree on time, traffic rules etc) Real world is fiction - governed by rules that we play by, socially accepted.
