Jennifer baichwal: manufactured landscapes (2006) intrinsic to the process of making things to keep us happy and fulfilled frightens me. He uses his photographs as a conversation about environmental stability. We are distracted from thinking about the world in which our unlimited. They all having tiny little jobs that are important but repetitive. Baichwal looks at the comparison of these two states of being and experiencing. The people and the machines work as one. There is an inherent tension of a conjuring of awe and a call to witness the awfulness. The picture taking of all the workers effective picture. Any one landscape is not isolated-> connections are everywhere. It is almost impossible for us to keep in our recognition all of the social injustices and sheer vastness of industrialization. There is a photographer who creates a platform for him self.
