Came to hamilton 15 years ago, had nothing after he and a girlfriend broke up, he was helping his friend fix up a shitty house so he had a place to live. Stelco was still running-> he woke up with eyes watering and sore throats from the fumes. He found a skateboard in the trash and he found a community of skaters. His life starting coming together and he eventually became a professor. It was a dream of his to create a graphic novel always. He thought hamilton would just be a stop in the road but he found a home here and community. Sherwin avenue-> a lot of italian"s moved here. There are books about the lifestyle of workers in the 20th century.
