Physical body: act of chopping the head off with the axe, test of his strength, skill, stamina, fortitude, moral character, testing his moral character, a test of his bravery, chivalry, courage, humility/humble. Knights shouldn"t be too proud or arrogant: courtesy, troth. Ideas of loyalty: game playing that the green knight initiates, intelligence, strategizing, verbal agility. Helps him get out of sticky situations. Need to be able to articulate strategies. Arming himself for the physical and moral battles to come. Ideas of gardens nature that is tended by people. Expensive crown that he is wearing with all his equipment on. Upper noble class person who can afford this.
