She tries to find the perfect husband while maintaining this adulteress relationship. She looks towards much younger men as husbands. Written in the form of a letter between: epistolary form. Is disgusted with the stubbornness and stupidity of her daughter. Has been a widow for a few months. Flirts with rich men to get money and get by. She wants to marry her daughter off to a wealthy man. So she will have money and be out of lady susan"s way. Lady susan will then marry an even richer man for herself. Is absolutely beautiful and looks younger than she actually is. Becomes attracted and interested in reginald de courcy. Her mother is trying to set her up for marriage.
