Document Summary
The ability of a system to function, survive over time. In our case is our planet, and how it functions over time. The organisms (currents generations) able to meet its own needs but without interfering with future generations needs. Different roles that need to be met at are: recycling of nutrients in the ecosystems. The finite amount of compounds that is available to them: each ecosystem needs to be able to recycle. The population will be equal to the amount of resources available. Fossil fuels example: we are using more of it than it can be replaced. We are using it as the main source of energy. It"s a geological possible that takes millions of years and we are using it too much in the last 250 years. And we are far from finding a replacement to take its place.
