Two main forms of diffusion: relocation diffusion, spread of cultural ideas or characteristics through an actual physical movement of individuals from one part of the world to another, expansion diffusion, spread of innovations within a single area in a snowballing process, expansion diffusion, hierarchical and contagious types of diffusion.
