GEOG 2EI3 Lecture 5: Presentations for 2EI3
Document Summary
Objective: to become familiar with various topics in environmental issues and to stimulate engaging discussion with your peers. Students will demonstrate an understanding of the readings well enough to share the highlights and key findings with their classmates and promote discussion. Powerpoint presentations are allowed, however, it is the students responsibility to ensure that their presentation will work. I discourage the use of text on powerpoint slides. It s best if slides are simple and used to convey images or graphs that the presenter can discuss. A fancy powerpoint presentation will not generate higher marks than a well executed chalkboard or spoken presentation. Key points will be kept during the presentation and shared with the class for study. Feel free to use interesting formats for presentations (ie. interviews, skits, game shows etc). The ta and instructor will keep track of contributions to the presentation discussion all term.
