The northern part of the african continent, and the southwestern part of the eurasian continent. Mega countries (more than 30 million: egypt: 92 m. Iran: 79 m: turkey: 79 m, sudan: 40 m, algeria: 40 m. Northern part of the african continent and the middle east which i prefer to call south western. In terms of size it is relatively small. It is a third the size of russia, the transcuaus and central asia. There are a couple that may or may not want to be included in this region. A little less than the third of the size of north america and south america. Listed are the countries that meet the 30 million threshold (the largest and most significant. Its population is about the size of europe places in terms of population) The level of urbanization is pretty high surprisingly.
