Preobrazhensky (1886-1937) suggested that russian communism could only exist on condition of a proletarian revolution in the west but was voted down (it was a proposed amendment to stalin"s speech) Stalin raised the possibility of creative marxism, socialism in one country . Stalin could be willfully insubordinate and occasionally harmed the war effort because he was overly confident and underly competent. Stalin is a member of the politburo (5 members), orgburo (5 members) and the secretariat (3 members) and he was the only member of all three. It"s especially important that he"s a member of the secretariat, because the secretariat oversaw everything else about the party. An idea is a thesis, the opposite idea is the antithesis, the two ideas clash and become a. Synthesis which in turn becomes the new thesis, always moving forwards. Hegel (1770-1831) came up with dialectics, it was very abstract and marx wanted to make it concrete.
