Economic growth embrace keynesian policies to expand public spending. 2) baby boom and growth of the suburbs: university affordable because of prosperity 2 to 10 million university numbers went up! By the end of the 1960s, 1 2 of all americans 18-22 were attended public universities. 3) cultural reaction against the conformity of the 1950s: challenge authorities that questioned the status quo question everything. 4) the clash between the us and third world nationalism. Rise of the third world decolonization expanded the third world territory leading to a clash between the us government and revolutionary movements.
