To be understood that illness has a purpose or signi cance illness leads to the potential possibility of healing thus acknowledging a divine purpose. Christianity relates illness to human beings sinfulness, sinful nature or to speci c thoughts or actions = sin causes illness directly, cause or effect way, or is a punishment from god i. e. original sin. Patterns of sin suggest that we are not being disciplined enough to be in tune with or hear.
