Disability due to accident: experience of disability = affected by aging. Experience of disability changes in aging body. Advance medicine, increase in social policies and rehabilitations: increased likelihood of secondary medical conditions. Respiratory illness and cardiovascular illness: health, functional, & psychosocial changes. Financially family is impacted by having someone with a disability. Stress to care for a disabled child making that aging is more specialized care if have disability: unique embodiment experiences. Is unable to move in and out of car but now has a ramp which carries him into the car: wheelchair for 18 years. Difficult to recovery when in a chair as the skin rubs and they are: tiffany less active. Still has no medical conditions thus far. Maintaining independence experiencing it is different based on resources and care: fear dependence. People assume if have disability, you have mental issues. Greater body awareness due to high risk of more illness.
