Pharmacology of the endocrine system drugs for pituitary, thyroid & adrenal. If a client has an issue with their thyroid it is more simple to deal with the thyroid. Someone not producing enough cortisol we give them more cortisol. Easier to deal with the root issue instead of manipulating the organs upstream. Growth hormone, the only one from the anterior pituitary. T4 (90%) majority: t3 is active form of the horomone, therefore t4 is turned into t3, thyroid hormones regulated basal metabolic rate and impact the function of almost all major organ systems, facilitates all major body systems. Feedback mechanisms of the thyroid gland: trh is produced by hypothalamus to make tsh and thyroid to produce, th, negative feedback loops. Thyroid disorders: someone is making too much th or has take too much th = thyroid storm, not making enough th, address issues with clients before they reach the extreme.
