Health is about two things, the body (biology) and the choices we make. Does not usually take place in the person"s house, rely on medicine. All these terms are actually debatable and constructive. What counts as health, illness, and medicine in one place or time may differ greatly from another. Health is not simply a biological concept; personal, cultural, political, economic factors all help shape our definitions of these concepts. Health studies, as a discipline seeks to understand how these concepts are conceived and which factors influence the way we understand them. We are also concerned with how social factors affect our health. Not the same as health sciences , rather the social study of health. Focus on overall wellbeing rather than a narrow emphasis on the processes and components of a person"s body. Health studies is something that is social in nature, the focus is not merely individual either - groups and communities also have health status.
