Theory is a statement that tries to explain how facts or events are related. Macro level theory: these theories examine social structures or structural elements as they inluence experiences and behaviours. Meso level theory: the study of intermediate (meso) social forces and straiicaion such as income, age, gender, race, ethnicity, organizaions and geographically restricted communiies. Micro level theory: small interacions with people and how they interact with each other, small groups, families. A society that is built on consensus and cooperaion: conlict. Change is never going to happen, everything is just cooperaing, change will never happen unless we have conlict: interpreive. How people in small groups understand the social world they live in, what kind of meanings to they atach to events, phenomenon"s and relaionships. Society funcions works in a way that is similar to the way the body works: body analogy. Views society as a system of interrelated parts that work together for the good of the whole.
