Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder, characterized by profound disruptions in thinking, affecting language, perception, and the sense of self. Symptoms of schizophrenia: the symptoms are divided into symptoms that are positive and negative. Acute means short, they do not last a long period of time: positive also means they are additions to a personality/ a person. Chronic means they are long lasting: chronic also means that these symptoms are lacking or these symptoms take away from a personality/ a person.
