Document Summary
Research tells us that history has a big impact on how your life plays out. Poverty affects various aspects of life like nutrition, education, health etc. It can influence psychological well-being, sense of self esteem and self-worth. Historical events had a great impact like the great depression. Living through a natural disaster can affect a person"s life course. Historical events impact differently depending on the age of the individual at that time of impact. Timing of lives tends to be standardized for some things. Families mean any significant others - parents, children, friends, siblings - usually interdependent lives have to do with families - between family members. People you are close to often put constraints on how you behave. The opportunities we face may not be the same in other cultures. We live in an individualistic culture as opposed to looking for the good in everyone.
