Reflection
This week has been very busy due to assignments and quizzes. Earlier
this week I had to submit 2 assignments and complete a quiz. One of the
assignments was for my geography class. It was a group-based assignment with
3 people. We had to come up with a debate and conclude with a decision. Our
topic was on the logging industries in British Columbia and how it affects the
environment, First Nations and the advantages of it such as employment
opportunities. Instead of writing up the debate, we formed the debate on Twitter
as a Twitter debate/rant. We made three different Twitter accounts and followed
our script. We all had to take a lot of initiative to figure out the assignment and
took leadership roles when needed. We finally all put it together and submitted it.
My other assignment was a reflection for my mentorship course. Each week I
met with my mentees, who are international students at McMaster, and write a
reflection. I had to make connections between what I did and what we have
learned in class. I am writing my GMAT this Saturday and hope I do well on it. I
am very nervous for it as it is a 4.5-hour test. I am pushing myself to do as many
practice questions and hope for the best.
