Force us to ask quesions about how we separate one disorder from another. Classiicaion is important because how they"re grouped together implies a shared symptom/treatment/ same root cause o. Ptsd and ocd oten result from traumaic events of episodes. People might say they have a shared eiology, a trauma where they now have problems with stress. New chapter on trauma and stress-related disorders in dsm 5. War experience, sexual abuse, vicims of crime or industrial accidents likely candidates. Dsm doesn"t menion cause, no agreement on it, however we menion cause in ptsd.
