Discovered by a french military surgeon, soon whispers in paris about new wonder drug. Wanted to help those who have returned from war, and it didn"t work as an anestheic. However, this did help them calm them down. Took the substance, and gave it to his colleges who were involved in psychiatry, and it was thought of as a miracle substance. Giovanni: making poliical speeches, geing in ights, previously in an asylum, disconnected from their family but they were discharged in 3 weeks, very powerful story due to the drug. This was seen as a powerful endorsement, did everything like a lobotomy but didn"t involve the physical procedure.
