Discrimination that prevents development of situation protective to good mental health. Dementia: medical view: set of symptoms related to progressive cognitive decline: memory, communication, judgement, attention, depth, perception, emotional, social view. Like any other mental issue, involves exclusion, silencing. Recall : 19th century growth of institutions and institution population. Primary way that mentally ill were treated to go to these institutions. Some were there for their whole lives some for shorter periods of time.
