We use phenotypic features to determine race, has no meaning within whole of organism. Biological differences within racial groups may be greater than those between racial groups. Physical features imagined as indicative of race are found across racial group. Humans created the idea of race: taken a bunch of traits and grouped them. Race is mailable and changes all the time. Immeasurable - no such thing as pure race, nor "pure" people. Cant measure degree to which they are "pure race" but can measure things like hair color eye shape etc. , Both a form of self-identification and a category assigned by others. Race is something that is done to us - category that is imposed by outside world onto a person. Kind of like a thought experiment / requires another person to create this idea. Socially speaking race is meaningful and matters despite constructed measure. Race is constructed in a relational sense, privileging some and degrading others.
