Ethical problems questions and dilemmas are an integral part of the research experience as much as they are part of the experience of everyday life ! They happen in everyday life, we experience them whether (family life, work life, etc) ! At least three ethicals issues should be considered! Respect for persons: the need for informed consent if someone approaches you, be honest (don"t lie your way out of a situation) ! Bene cence: the need to guard subjects against harm or injury and the need to protect individuals" privacy all started in germany, this came out of nuremberg trials ! Balance between risks and bene ts: do the bene ts outweigh the foreseeable risks ! Ex. in community setting, if you"re taking notes you should always use pseudonyms ! Don"t use names, if you lose your notes you don"t want to have any identi ers in your notes, you want a logical sequence of things !
